Santa
Cristina,
build in 1276, in origin was the
small church of
Radda in Chianti and next to
Santa Cristina was changed in hospitality complex to guest to
travellers from/to Florence and Siena. In the
middle
of XIX century, was build the new main way to connect
Florence with Siena and Villa Miranda was born with it, next
to Santa Cristina,
run by Minucci's Family.
Villa Miranda had just 5 rooms, 3 for men and 2 for women.
From
1842 for 6 generations, Minucci's family have been
running Villa Miranda.
After more than 160 years nothing
isn't changed except the services provided of course.
Now at Villa Miranda, in stead of the farm stalls there is the
traditional restaurant in
Chianti Classico style while
at the first floor there are the rooms. The food shop, became
a real
gastronomy boutique where you can find
the famous
pecorino cheese called "Marzolino" and
a
vast choice of high quality wines from all around
Italy.
